What are some practices used to control Bird flu from getting on your farm?

Implement as many biosecurity practices as possible. Spray tires with disinfectant before entering. Eliminate visitors. No hunting gear or boats allowed on the farm. Employees not to own other bird species. Footgear for the farm only. Implement starling and rodent control programs. Given the birds are outside, you can't control everything. Control what you can!

Tektrol or Virocid are good broad spectrum disinfectants to use at a concentration of 1oz per gallon of water. This solution can be used for spraying tires, footbaths, and disinfecting barns.
